67-72 Engine Perches into 62 C10 - L & R ?

Would like to confirm that this is the correct installation for the 67-72 V8 engine perches going into my 62 C10. They seem to fit better this way but I've looked at so many different pictures, I'm not sure which is left or right. Installing with a manual transmission V8 bellhousing so I'll have a "4 point stance". It looks like I'm going to need 1/2" or 5/8" spacers - should these be the same on both sides even if there is a small difference between sides? Right now the front of the block is resting on a V8 horseshoe mount. Going with a serpentine belt setup and power steering or I'd just use the horseshoe.

Should the nubs circled in the pictures go towards the back of the truck?

Thanks for your help.

Re: 67-72 Engine Perches into 62 C10 - L & R ?

I'm pretty sure I have the brackets oriented correctly with the nubs pointing back, but have a difference between left and right gaps to the frame. The left is about a full inch above the frame and the right is only 1/4". Should I shim the brackets snug to the frame and forget the difference side to side? The engine is sitting level side to side and has about 3.5 degrees angle front to rear. The rear of engine is resting on the original manual trans cross member and the front is resting on the engine brackets. It it common for the brackets to need different size shims on left and right? Hoping my frame isn't tweaked, maybe my brackets are off? Any help is appreciated

I put mine the opposite of the way you did, mine truck is a 61 not sure if it’s different,I added 1/2 inch shim to both sides, welded 1/2 metal to my mounts and buffed them up,not sure if it’s the proper way to do it but it worked for me

I had that problem when I used the 63-66 perches. when I switched to the 67-72 perches it sat down flat on the frame.
