Haha, don't be mad dude. I felt it was important to correct the misinformation since it directly pertains to the question the OP asked. If he removes the rear sway bar his rear suspension will have more independent articulation which translates to a better ride, at least in a straight line. Not worth the benefit of more stable cornering though, IMO. Generally speaking, the stabilizer bar doesn't affect the ride as much as springs or shocks, but it still has an effect. Otherwise the OEMs would put big bars front and back so that every vehicle handled well. Unfortunately those big bars take away from the suspension's ability to react differently to road surfaces from side to side.

You don't say if you have rear coil or leaf springs. The Hellwig kit posted above is for coils. Here's a link that shows all their sway bar kits.

I put the kit for rear coils on my '69 back in the day to help reduce sway induced by the cabover camper. I took it off when I restored the truck. I really didn't notice much, if any, improvement. Based on the picture that kit is almost unchanged since. Too bad you aren't close to Wisconsin. You could have it.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

You're right I did leave some information on the table. My one ton is running leafs in the rear and is 2WD. And yeah, it is too bad I don't live closer to Wisconsin but that thought is much appreciated anyway. Thanks for the info
