power steering pump lines
I have my original gearbox but threw the lines out with the original motor (inline 6). I now have a 4.8 installed; instead of buying a new set of expensive hose's can I just order the original hose ( I only need one ) and attach it to the new LS power steering pump. i believe they sell an adapter.

Re: power steering pump lines
The l31 and tbi ps pumps you remove the oring fitting from the pump and use no oring fitting from your old ps pump
i am on the understanding ls pumps are the same i have not varified this yet as both ls motors are still in there original trucks and have not progressed to the point yet to pull one out |

Re: power steering pump lines
The pump on the 4.8 engine probably uses metric hose fittings.
I had just the opposite problem when I used an older pump with SAE pressure fitting on an 82 C10 metric box. Ended up buying a metric-to-SAE adapter and making this pressure hose. Probably overkill, because an truck hose shop can make a rubber one for you.
