1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R

This one comes to us from Chattinuga Tennessee. It’s a 52 3600 which we are converting to a shortbed. The owner wants the Ole Sarge touch. We’ll be painting it patina'd Robbins Egg Blue with a darker matte blue interior. We will be doing AC, full interior, stereo, 5.3/4L60E, S10 frame, a Nova rear end, custom gauges, column, and a Custom steering wheel

,Man what a fight! Every bolt is near impossible! We’ve had to cut well more than half the bolts!
But the cab is about ready to come off.

Re: 1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R

it may not look like much progress, but trust me, we got a lot done!
All of the floor rust is removed. He got real lucky that your floor braces were in good shape! They can be very time consuming.
We got the dash completely stripped and started removing wind lace, ect.
We also used the radio delete as a template for creating a radio fill. When we’re done you won’t know it was ever there. When the truck is done I would like to have my pinstriper do some work on the dash.

Re: 1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R

the first chip is the color I ordered for the interior
For the exterior I was thinking the 2nd or 3rd chip, leaning towards the 2nd.

Tomorrow we seam them.

Re: 1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R

We got all the floors seam welded, Monday we’ll attack it with the grinder and weld up the pedal holes. Then on to the dash!

Re: 1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R

Wyatt had to leave at 3, like he does every Monday for School. But we managed to get the floors all ground down. We filled the pedal holes and will address the others tomorrow
We spray leak seal on both sides of all our welds, it expands and covers any pinholes we may have overlooked and keeps moisture out of the weld. Preventing rust.

Re: 1950 Chevy 3600 Woody R

We spent most of the day trying to massage those holes by the gauges level before we welded
Came out pretty good though
We also made a filler panel for the accelerator pedal hole

We spent most of the day removing a pedal assembly/booster/master from an S10,modifying it, and installing it in your cab.
