73-87 rear bumper brackets

Are the rear stepside brackets for a sport bumper the same as fleetside sport bumper? Im looking to buy a stepside sport bumper but seller doesn’t have the brackets. Found some other seller with fleetside brackets.I’m being cheap on buying from parts store 🤷🏽*♂️

No.
Stepside brackets for the 73-87 bumper are unique to that bumper.

Re: 73-87 rear bumper brackets

I believe the rear sports bumper on the 73-78 is the same as the rear K5 blazer bumper.

Yea I dug a little on research and seen the difference. Thanks I guess I’ll just have to pay the full retail price.

Cool thanks. I’ll have to ask about that when I go buy them new. Atleast I’ll be saving a $100 on the bumper.

Re: 73-87 rear bumper brackets

The 73-87 STEPSIDE ONLY rear bumper is actually the same bumper used on the 67-72 stepside trucks.
But the brackets are unique to the 73-87 stepside trucks.

Re: 73-87 rear bumper brackets

My mistake. I read this as sports bumper. I do not know if the brackets from the Blazer fit a step bumper.
