Dash Cam
I checked and all I was able to find were old discussions. I have a '65 C10 and was wondering if anyone had hardwired a dash cam into their similar truck. In modern vehicles I tuck the wire up under the headliner, I think I could probably tuck it in the windshield rubber but don't know if it would cause the rubber to not lay flat. Just wondering if anyone has done this and could show pictures. Thanks.

Re: Dash Cam
The PO of my C10 installed a "hidden windshield antenna" by tucking the wire behind the windshield seal, it's never been an issue and I don't notice a bulge. Sorry, no pics to share.

If I were putting it overhead I'd go via the inside cab light route. If I were putting it on the dash I'd use the speaker grill, I'm sure if your carefull...

Re: Dash Cam
I have a couple in other vehicles. Usually powered by a micro-usb. I'm debating about drilling a hole, slipping the usb through, and prettying it up with a rubber grommet.

Re: Dash Cam
Yes, USB cable. Most kits come with a USB cord that plugs into the cigarette lighter, but aftermarket ones are available that wire into a spare fuse.

Re: Dash Cam
Tap a hole under mirror or wherever your mount camera. Pull through visor hole via fish tape or the like...and follow through with dash to visor hole

Re: Dash Cam
I just went out and looked and I believe that would work. They used a Corvair mirror on my truck and there is a gap between the mirror mount base and the roof. I could pull the mirror down, drill a hole and fish the wire through it. Then there would only be enough wire showing between the mirror base and the camera.
