Update on the 71 GMC 3/4 4X4 Now with pic's
Sometime ago I had talked and asked some questions about a 71 GMC a Friend found for me.
Well I found time to get down there and see this old truck man I have to say it's in great shape!! I found one rust hole in the cab corner that it. Well there could be more but I doubt it. it has a 350 2bbl 350/205 with a Dana 60 rear 44 front PS Disk brakes in the front. It started life as a Camper Special before the Lake George Fire Dept. got it where for most of the 53,000 miles it has lived before this old man got to use to fix up Cabins. As a whole it's a great deal for a 1000$ even with the ugly yellow/green paint. My plans for it ..I'm not sure as it has a very big utillty box on it but even that is in great shape anybody need one? So I'm not sure if I want to go with a Flatbed or find a oem bed for it. Finding a OEM bed mite be hard well not to hard I see them everywhere finding one in good shape will be. The other thing I want to do is see if I can get rid of the very old lockout hubs anybody know if the Warn makes hub for the old D44's? Yes I plan on getting a digi cam and getting some pic's. I still have to drive the darn thing lol the float was stuck when I was up there last weekend and seeing how I'm headed in to town tomarrow I'll head up there and play with it. The OEM color was a White with Blue up till then I have not see one that was painted that way it's like a two tone for some reason it looks different. After last weekend I have seen two painted that way. Funny how untill you own one or someone makes you aware of something you don't see it. It's like the Gold and White Trucks I see them everywhere now lol. Pic's coming soon Cethern

If those are spicer hubs you might want to just clean them and re-grease. Sounds like a great find!

Well here are some pic's I wish I could of had Internet service over the weekend I went back to fix the Carb problem and we could not get the darn thing started I did everything I could think of I added new points, cap, rotor, rechecked the timing and gave up on saturday to only came back on sunday to add Plugs and Wires. Only to find a wire had come off the Solinoid that went to the coil...
After we fixed that it fired right up and runs like a champ. It does need some work as they all do

The hubs say Cutless or something cloes to that. In the pass. side you can see the rust hole in the cab corner so far everything looks great but a better look under the cab mite show something else. but from inside the floors are solid.
