Smile I need to find a little airstream....

to tow behind my 71... there, I made it fit in this category.
I am having a REALLY hard time finding a 17' or under airstream. Interior stuff is no big deal... I have skills! LOL I want a good body though! (doesn't everyone??)
If anyone has any leads, knows of one sitting in a field... I would LOVE you if you helped me out!
Thanks!!
Kirsten

Don't rule out Avions. They were actually built better than Airstreams and have none. of the inherent problems that airstreams have. Im not sure if Avion made any that small. Here is my 22ft Avion.

Here is a great Airstream forum.

Bambi

I heard they called that short model the "Bambi." Don't know why.
I too, share your desire for an Airstream. I want about a 25-footer to pull behind a '67 K/10 Suburban w/454. First I have to rebuild the '67
Good Luck.

There is a guy east of Seattle, WA that has a field full of Airstream trailers and motorhomes. I stopped to check out a 72 flatbed and discovered this stash of trailers hidden in a field across the road. These are well hidden from view. I would really like to have one of those old Airstream motorhomes. I stop by occasionally to see if the guy is there...would be nice to chat with him. I am sure if he was interested in selling he would have them advertised.

Check the Little Nickle, RV Trader and Buy&Sell in the Seattle area. I see old used ones all the time...just no room for another project.

A buddy bought a '64 19ft Avion for $600 two yrs ago. Posted on a Avion forum and sold for $2500. I've seen a few good buys on under 20ft campers here. But most are ragged out.Thats one of my future projects is have one to tow when goin' to shows or meets. Good luck!
