1971 Power steering hose routing and connections pic requested
Hi all,
I have a 1966 C10 that I just converted to power steering using Captain Fab's bracket. I have a 350, short water pump, and the Alan Grove Power steering bracket that mounts the pump on the driver's side, below the alternator. I used a 71 steering box and a 71 pump. Assuming that the 71 had the same mounting arrangement, I'm assuming that factory hoses will work (probably have to trim the lower lip of the inner fender slightly). Does anyone have some pictures of a 70-72 power steering setup that shows the routing of the hoses? I assume that the high pressure line connects to the port that is slightly forward and offset to the passenger side? Thanks! |

I used the 71-72 alt bracket and PS pump bracket on my 350 ,short water pump , Stainless Hoses are from Member Pickmup . I polished the hoses and Summit carries a Stainless hose bracket to mount the hoses to the frame similar to the stock bracket .This is a 67 stock frame.

I think the 70/72 would be the same as my '69.
