67 K10 hubs

Hello. I'm new to the site and had a question about a recent purchase. I bought a rough 67 K10. 283/4spd. It has what looks to be an auto locking hub on left side and a Warn M8 locking hub on the other. I haven't tore into it at all to see what's inside. My question is did these come with auto hubs in 67 or lock-outs. Also I've had no luck finding anybody that makes hubs for 67-68 1/2 tons? Checked Warn, Mile Marker ect. Thanks

Re: 67 K10 hubs

Welcome to the board! I was in the same boat you are in with my 68 K10 and decided to upgrade to a mid-70s dana 44 axle. My closed knuckle had an auto lock hub and an M8 Warn hub that still works. The answer to your question is they came with Spicer Hub-Lok hubs based on the information I've found. I have a set but they lack the gear drive to engage. If you can find a set they're usually pricey. There are other companies that made hubs but are no longer produced. E-bay may be your best bet to find a set. Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. That's funny your 68 had an M8 and an auto like mine!

Selectro made a very good replacement for the Spicer Hub-Lok. Keep your eye out on EBAY, they're out there but it may take awhile to find something.

Re: 67 K10 hubs

I have a 67 with original locking hubs. I wanted to update them and called Warn. They don't list 67 on the website but they told me the 9072 hubs would work?

Re: 67 K10 hubs

Thanks you very much. I will look for some. Quick question, why don't 69-72 locking hubs work? My truck has 19 splines on axle and 48 on inner hub like the 69-72. Unless someone changed the hubs? Thanks for your time.

I'm not sure. I am new to the 4wd drive stuff. I figured I would call Warn just to see what they suggest.
