Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck
I agree with tutone. The same thing is happening to you that happened to that guy in the 60's that invented the 100mpg carburetor. Keep your doors locked and the blinds pulled. Good luck.

I am 67-72% certain that I welded up some holes I should have left open, and forgot to weld up sum that should be shaved, anyway I just had to bazinga that firewall today and I hate spray bombing stuff even if the rest of the rig does look like death so out came the Dexter Starter Kit

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck
Oh Top Tip on the grindage of the firewall, get yourself some brand new coarse sand paper discs, the new discs will generate less heat than the old used up ones and prevent the sheet metal from warping
I think these were 36 grit |

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck
ladies and gentlemen I give you the self leveling Inver-A-Jack ... now available in rustic white
If you recall the Inverter changes Direct Current coming from the batteries to Alternating Current for the motor to function [think of it as a distributor/carburetor combo] |

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck
Me: for this project I will only use the strongest and lightest of metals, preferably unobtanium or at the very least aluminum
also Me: let's just check the scrap pile first |

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck
I don't usually stop to check if the cables will reach the component I am trying to install, but when I do, I make sure it is when I am half way through making the bracket...

Re: My Dusty 71 GMCe Electruck
I am really not a fan of this run both cables to one side design (ie East), plus one of my cables has a booboo owie so I decided to unwrap it in hopes of heeling it and seeing if it can be rerouted Westward
