4x4 Help

I'm a newbie to 4x4 and a friend has a 76 shortbed 4x4, not sure if its dana or just gm 10 bolt. Its parttime 4wd and once you take that part time piece off, is there a special tool needed to get the rotor and the rest of that front assembly off?

Big socket with four little l_l for taking off that huge nut. They arent that expensive. Some snap ring pliers would be of a great help also. BTW its a Dana 44 unless someone has changed it out.
