Radio Electrical Help

I need a little help regarding my after market radio/cd player in my 1970 Chevy shortbed 4x4.

When I start the truck up it works fine, and when I drive slow or at a gradual maintained speed it works fine, but when I accelerate the radio cuts out. It doesn't lose the clock or station presets, and when I slow down or stop it comes back on again.

I checked all the wiring and everything seems fine. Is there a wiring set under the accelerator pedal that may be shorting out when I give it gas?

Any help would be appreciated!
