Start there, before you before you worry about anything else.

265/70/15 on truck is taller than new suggested original size, 225/70/15 by about 2" if I recall. A smaller tire will lower gear ratio. Numerically higher but is a lower gear. Smaller tire equals more revolutions per mile.
