WTB shackles for shackle flip on 71

Hey folks,

I'm looking for some shackles to do a flip on my 71 gmc leaf truck. What were they again? The front rear hangers from a 73-87 truck is that right?

thanks

The front hangers on a 73-87 truck won't work as a rear hanger on your truck as they are offset more than your current hanger. I guess you could change the front hangers to correct that. Go to www.offroaddesign.com - they sell the correct shackle flip bracket. You can also cut your existing rear hanger and gusset it for strenght.

The OffRoad Design flip for our years gives you 4" of lift.

Oh, up front I do recommend the Tuff Country. I started out with their EZ ride springs but now am using their heavy duty ones for the big block weight. OffRoad Design sells those springs and you would want to go with 4" to match the rear, but the rear end might sit a touch lower.

Thanks yukon,

Unfortunately my shackles are rotted beyond repair. It's odd, kinda looks like the PO took a grinder to them??? I was hoping I could go a little cheaper.

thanks
