Tach Cluster

Here are the details on this cluster:

Started out as an exceptionally clean cluster with almost no rust. This is one of the nicer original clusters I've seen. All of the paint is factory original other than the gauge needles.

Tach - Brand new reproduction

Fuel, Temp, Oil & Battery Gauges - These are extremely nice OE gauges that have been bench-tested. They all function correctly.

Speedometer - This is an extremely nice OE unit. Tested by spinning it with a servo motor at precisely 1001 RPM, and it read 59mph (60mph would be perfect). Input shaft lubricated and odometer set back to zero.

Front Tin - OE - Factory-style formed opening added for the tach. Video

Back Tin - OE - Tach hole added using a CNC router based on a pattern made from a factory tach tin. Video

Lens -OE - Dummy tach markings polished off, and die-cut decals applied for the 5k tach. The lens is nice, and it has very little in the way of swirl marks or scratches. Video

Bezel - Reproduction 69-72 style from Auto Metal Direct

Printed Circuit - Brand new reproduction, Intellitronix, made in USA

Bulbs - Tested good

Sounds good. Are you wanting a 67-68 or a 69-72 bezel?

I'm not sure I understand. Are you wanting to buy a complete restored gauge cluster from me, or are you wanting me to restore your gauge cluster?

I'm good with payment after the work is complete.

Here's a cluster I sold a while ago. Is this the look you are wanting?

Will do. I will be busy this coming weekend, so it will take me about two weeks to get it built.

Ok. The only way for me to do chrome around the edges is to get a reproduction bezel.

I have several original bezels, but none of them are super nice. Here are some photos of the nicest one. The chrome is faded, and there are hairline cracks on the two outer screw holes from the screws being overtightened.

Re: Tach Cluster

I also have this one that appears to have been repainted at some point. The chrome is much less faded than that other one, but someone did some sanding on one spot on the lower edge.

I've got your gauge cluster built up as far as it can go without a bezel. Let me know how yours looks once you get it.

I finished assembling and testing your gauge cluster this evening. Everything is working correctly. Here are some photos.
