If your going to buy a G, get an "O-G"
I have been interested in the G platform for a while. Doing the C thing for over 30 years. There have been some good candidates and one that got away over the past year. When this one came up from the owner out here, it had to come home. Lots of history with it. This is straight AWESOME.....
That's my buddy on the ground... Smitty

I love those G series vans. Never seen one with a camper top before.

Looks very clean in the pics. I bet it wasnt cheap, even Plain Jane non restored ones are going for pretty decent coin.

Re: If your going to buy a G, get an "O-G"
There was a GMC here in the Zona that had all the badges on it. Needed some metal work, but the van was nice. Dude sold it, I missed out on it.

Re: If your going to buy a G, get an "O-G"
The one I looked at was all windows factory. It's in central Alberta. was ordered new to be used as a school bus for a rural area. I believe it is for sale. No idea how much he wants.
He had about 200 vehicles on his property in his late 80's. Mind is clear, Knew the history of every vehicle there. |

Re: If your going to buy a G, get an "O-G"
It’s nice that it’s so… nice. I’ve looked for reproduction parts for these vans and they’re hard to find. I got a pair of buckets out of a 69 that I naively thought I could get covers for. Still can’t find them. Post more pics!

That's a great looking find. Think you'll do a build thread? It'd be cool to follow along.
