I've read there are a number of refineries in the bay area way past their recommended life span and a couple of them were to be shut down last year or so.

How far from you is this fire Mike? several miles ? maybe a good time to go get a few gallons of gas in storage huh? Stay safe friend

I guess it's at least a 4 hour drive so no danger to us here. I don't know how many refineries there are in California, or what areas they serve. But I would not be surprised to have shortages and price hikes. Yep, good idea to top off the tanks, just in case.
