dash pads

It looks like one of the top screws popped where it is molded into the pad right in front or behind the steering wheel so I get to look at it every time I drive.

My question is which supplier or board member for that matter makes and sells a good quality pad? Any recommendations?

I installed a Dashes Direct pad in my '71 last night. It's a little wavy along the front edge, but I'm satisfied with it considering the price, and it's made in the USA. There are a couple photos of it in post #424 here:

I also did a dashes direct pad but ordered from summit racing which was half the price. These from summit could be old stock or blemish ones they have of the end of the batch as I also have low spots where the mounting studs are when tightening down. Speculation only on that.

It fit great like it should but Its cold here right now and i have loosened the nuts some what to see if when it gets hot if the pad will settle correctly. Great pad and i got the i think last Green one from summit. It doesnt look bad at all, I think we can agree the best we can settle on is whats reproduced at the moment.

Is there a nut on the stud? If not try putting one on it and see if it pulls it down. It should. If there is one there, try tightening it down some.

Yes, it is recommended to not tighten down the nuts all the way, just snug.
