My father-in-law had Terminators on his '69 Chevy short-step with a 402 and 2.5" exhaust. They sounded good but to me they weren't anything different then turbos. They didn't have a distinct sounds like Flowmasters do.

I've never heard terminators (or i didn't know they were termintator), but from what i have heard, Flows are the best sounding mufflers you can get. I'm running 40 series flows on my truck, and i love it. It turns alot of heads. When i mash on the pedal, people will turn and look expecting to see a camaro or mustang drive by, only to see a old yellow pickup .

i have terminators, love em. no annoying resonance inside that cab that drives many ppl nuts. they cost less, i'm not a fan of flowmasters (frankly i hate them, they seem to make everything sound the same) i dont think terms sound like anything else i've heard, i love the way they sound when u start the motor, they're painted black which is ok i dont really care about that.
i'd say if u like em loud then go with flows. if u want something quieter and more unique then consider terminators. people always ask me what i'm runnin cuz they sound good but they dont sound like flows.

Im will get another recording of my exhaust on the camaro (headers,2.5" duals,50 series flowmasters with delta flow) .
I have one at

http://www.geocities.com/chevroletc1070/idle.html

but its from the drivers door so its mostly just the sound of the headers. After too many people listen that audio clip will be NFG for a while, can only have so many downloads in a given time (dam free webspace providers )

Wink

Flows sound like two hondas in a soup can! That's why mustank owners love them. It's a step up! hehehe:p In case you can't tell, I don't like them. That's just my opinion but your welcome to it. I like to share.

Talking Flow Tech After Burners

The flow tech After burner sound just as good as the flowmaster
Deltaflow 40 for half the price. I don't know about the terminators
but If you like the sound of the flowmasters go for the Afterburners everyone thinks I have flowmaster, until I tell them
other wise.

to me with a healthy motor or a big block flowmasters sound sweet, but not real good on a stock pickup, alot of the newer 90's pickups around here have them with there stock 350,and i dont like it.My blazers getting Flowmaster w/2.5" my current driver has Flowtechs w/2.5" with a moderatly stock 402.67 will get 3" and Flowmaster if i ever finish it.I agree they sound like soup can on stock small motors, but have a healthy unique sound with a decent motor.but some people like glass packs and i would use them if my exhaust system was free with em.If your cheap just go with Turbos.

ME...I have some kind of stock exhaust, and the muffler has a big ol' rust hole in it. It turns LOTS OF HEADS with the amount of noise! lol.

I have to worry about the clutch and throw bearings first though, as the truck is soon to be immobile if I don't fix it.

Supertraps!

I have been sold on Supertraps since i heard a big-block vette at one of the street machine nationals with traps. I have the stainless steel 5" and I have added 6 disks. I bought a set of flows last summer and they were on for 1 week. Supertraps went right back on. I like to be a little different than everyone else and I love the sound of traps on a healthy motor. They are tuneable too!

I have some video's on my website. You can hear what 2 chamber Flowmasters with a X-Pipe sounds like. The link is in my Signature.
