Winshield Installation?

I have a new winshield and new gasket without a lock strip for my 85 Custom Delux. I thought that the winshield would go in like the back window, but I was mistaken. How do I install the winshield on my truck?

The front window is not a "rope in" like the rear window is. I had a glass installer install mine, and he had special tools to do it. He basically sprayed glass cleaner all around the channel, set the gasket in place over the window channel, put the bottom edge of the window in the gasket channel, and then used some kind of tool and slid it around the windshield...which in turn pulled the gasket/pushed the window in completing the window install. He used similar steps when he installed the chrome lockstrip.

Hope this helps some. If I were you, I would just pony up the money and have a pro do it...it sure beats wrecking your gasket or breaking the window...or both.
