What do you think??(o/t)

I have a couple of gallons of Hugger Orange layin around. I was thinking about painting my '88 LeSabre with it... Here is a pic that I did in photoshop, everything is the same on the car except for the color. Right now it is dark blue. The car is a 2-door(not a T-Type), you really don't see too many of them out there, especially in the 80's. Does this look kinda cool/different, or just dumb?

if you lift it a little to fit some 20's or better yet 22's with spinners we'd probably see you in a rap video.

It's different for sure.

meh.

it's so-so...what color is the interior? if it's dark blue, DO NOT change the exterior to that safety-cone orange (yeah, you guys *think* chevy invented it, no, they just stole it off a road cone). If it's dark blue, you have quite a few options though - white, black, light blue, dark blue, varying shades of grey, tan, etc.

And if you do manage to do something dumb, the cop will think "There goes crazy Grandma to get her meds." If you paint it orange, you are just asking for it. But then again, it is up to you. Oh, and there is a yellow '89 that parks in the same lot as me...cheesy purple tint, Wal-Mart spinner hubcaps, the whole enchilada. It looks ugly, IMO.

1969 GMC:

This one is a 2-door, that's the only reason I'm thinking about it. It has a totally different shape to it past the front clip. The rear window slants at an angle, not straight down like a 4-door. I also have HID style fog lights on it now in the front valance. I think it looks kinda cool, definatly different. I don't drive nuts, so cops aren't really a problem. More opinions, please...

I like it. As long as you don't speed in it you'll be ok.

I say go for it! Maybe I'm not one to ask since my truck is hugger orange and I am obsessed with that color. Be different all of the vehicles out there are red, black, white,......... not that that is bad. It is just nice to see that someone wanted to be different.

Everyone has some decent points...but I don't think it's all that bad. It may end up just looking silly without some interior modification I suppose.

The bottom line is you are going to drive it. If you like the look than I say go for it. Who really cares what anyone else thinks. As you can already tell some think it's cool, others don't. Personally I'm getting sick of seeing cookie cutter cars. How many now walk past all the 55 -57 Chevy's because they're all the same. It takes something really different to catch my eye. That bright Orange just might be enough to make me walk over and take a look. It's different and it really doesn't look that bad. So do what you want and be proud of it when your done.
