4 Wheel Disc Brakes
Well im gathering all of my parts to convert to disc brakes in the rear.Its a 69 3/4 ton.I would like to use a corvette master cylinder and porp. valve but i cant remember what year will work best for my application.Any help on this would be appreciated.Thanks!

MC from a 78 Corvette,rear calipers from a 84 Cadillac Eldorado(has parking brake in it)Caliper mounts from TSM.
That's what I have on my 71 Blazer anyway. This is the best pic of my Corvette MC I could find

How does that parking brake work? original cable or??????

Well I'll tell ya, it is of course your own preference.
I use stock MC's and never had a problem. A good amount of the kits we have sold we have never installed a MC. But of course you are probably swapping everything over to disc and from what I have heard and read the corvette one seems to be what the guys on here install, when going from drums to disc.. I installed a kit on my 3/4 ton and have yet to have a braking issue. It is also my daily driver As for the emer brake we sell the bracket that attaches to the caliper to work with your cable. There are a lot of options out there but thought I would jump in You can check it out by clicking o the link in my sig. Here are a couple of shots of it installed on my '72

would u use the prop. valve off a 78 vette too?

If i was going to upgrade from all drums to disc, I would probably just use a 3/4 mc or hydro assist. But thats what i have laying around..
Some people swap to corvette or other style, and some don't.. Mainly a trial and error item on our year trucks

I'm just running a regular old MC with booster for drums and I dont have any problems with mine at all. I have been driving it like this for about 8 years. I do change the pads regularly and get the cheaper pads. It stops great.

I used my orig. brake cable.I had to shorten it by about 2" though.I also had to make some small mods to the Eldorado e-brake bracket.
Problem I have found though is the orig e-brake pedal does not have enough travel to FULLY engage the e-brake. It does engage,but it needs a smiggin more travel to have full e-brake pressure on the rotor.

i used the master cylinder and proportioning valve off a 78 vette on mine. also used the rod but had to turn down the end that goes in the booster just a few thousands as it fit too tight. also had to take about a quarter inch off the length of the rod. havent got it on the road yet but heres a pic and comparison pics of vette vs stock pieces.

Why did u change out to the vette rod?Would i have to do that if i use vette mc and prop. valve?

changed it because where it goes in master cylinder is different on vette mc and seemed like easier route to modify vette one as its two piece rod.
