Master cylinder info

I was wondering if a 73+ master cylinder will fit onto a 1971 power brake booster with no problems? Thanks for the help.

no it wont. the spot for the rod that comes outta the booster is not nearly deep enough on the 73-up parts so if you bolted it on you brakes would stay applied
