72 Front Susp Info
I need to know where I can get the shims used on the upper control arms for my 1972 Chevy Chassis?
What about the torque specs for the fasteners on the front suspension? Can someone point me to a URL? Thanks |

They come in several different thicknesses. The alignement guy will need to use a variety of them to get the exact thickness needed for your particular front end.
I buy MOOG brand ones by the box at any parts store that sells Moog products. You'll need to measure your old stack of shims and make sure your new ones are the same thickness.

Thanks for the info!
Right now the chassis as assembled with 100% washers, no shims. Do you usually use a combo of washers and shims to re-assemble? |

no washers, just shims. The alignment guy can get those for you.

Thanks.
Sounds like I can assemble the upper control arm as close as I can get it and wait until it comes time to do the alignment. What about the front end torque specs? Anyone have a link online by chance? Something like this one for oldsmobile
