what color should i go on the top

I went to los angeles this weekend and picked up my top, got it off aguy who has had his jimmy for eleven years and dosent like the hard top
but the body man is telling me that a light tan would look nice with the flames on my blazer but i was thinking just to go white

can i get some feed back
here is a link to the pics of the blazer http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s....php3?t=121227

White would be fine, but what might be cool is if you tried to match the color of the flames. Curious, the top you bought in LA, is it double or single wall, and how much did you get it for. I've been looking/asking around like crazy for a good single wall, and haven't had any luck. Might just have to go with a double wall.

I think both options would look good. The white would definately stand out a lot more than the tan. What about matching the body color? Or Black?

Tan has my vote... I think it would look very classy with a tan top OR perhaps matching the flames like mentioned above.

Either way you have a winner...

I'm not a big fan of the top being anyother color than white, however with the new body color, and if you were going with tan seats I think it would look slick on your ride if you went tan on top. White may be too much of a contrast.

the top now is black, i got it for $350 and it is double wall, i went with this top cause even the hatch is in damn near for its age perfect condition,
i thought of matching the body color but then thought it would be to much color,
but for some reason i want to go tan, i am thinking of having him paint half tan half white then putting it on and seeing what one looks the best

i also know where there is a double wall in carson city nevada for 100 dollars if anybody needs one, i couldnt get pics of it tho so i went with the one that would send pictures

That color is so different, I think I would paint it to match the truck. I feel white or tan may clash too much.

Mine was OE white, PO painted it black, painting my blazer "GQ" triple black,
stripping the top back to white, I would go with color match in ur situation.

I will be painting my Blazer a color very similar to yours. I've been leaning towards black for my top. I think a black top would look sharp with that color...

One more vote for tan. Or match the flames, before doing white or black.

Going to be awsome, good luck.

If you post a clear side pic I'll photoshop a top on your ride in white, tan and body color to give you an idea of what it will look like.

Bouncytruck: Thanks

Later,

The one in the link is a little dark I'll play around with it and post some rough drafts here in a sec to see what you think and if you like it and want a better one we can try it with another pic.

What would it look like if the top was the same color as the rest of the body?
