Question 72 Cheyenne Super 30 ????????

a buddy of mine just bought an original 72 cheyenne super 30 that was ordered as a cab and chassis so a utility bed could be installed. this truck is all original and he has the build sheet and the original option list on the glove box. it's an original paint truck and it came without outside moulding-like a stepside would have.it's a well optioned truck also-big block,auto,tilt,tach,a-c etc.it seems like a pretty rare truck to me. i've never seen another like it and was curious if anyone else had.

Back in the early 80s we bought a 72 Super with a utility bed already installed by the previous owner. Don't remember if it was a 20 or 30 series, but it did have 8 lug wheels (I'm almost sure...), 402, PS/PB, AC, AM/FM, 4 speed w/granny low and 4:11 posi.

It sure would pull...but drank gas like the famine was coming

Jerry

I met a guy recently that had all kinds of Nos stuff. He had a set of Nos Cheyenne 30 emblems. The only problem is that he only likes to sell stuff on ebay. His building if so full that it could be years. Some guys have all the neat stuff.

Hey Jerry, how's things out on the coast? I seem to remember some time ago you had left a card with a lady on a truck in her garage? You were waiting on divorce or something. Hers. What ever happened to the truck? Later.

New Palestine is on the eastside of Indianapolis. About 3 miles outside of city limits.

nu2-72- that 3/4 ton is still in limbo, i still check up on it every so often though.

Downtown- the guy that bought this truck has at least 30, if not more ,71-72s. most are real nice trucks too. the nicer ones are kept in weatherproof barns, he drives a few of them and the rest just sit. he too has lots and lots of N.O.S. parts but won't sell anything. he's the guy i buy all the tow hooks for. sounds like you have a very sweet truck-lots of cool options.

Well sounds like the guys likes his trucks, and is not going to rip this one apart just for the BB or something like that. Would like to see pic also. Whats the GVW and wheel base. Probably the 14000 pounder with a BB.

Thats should be the heavy duty 14000lbs Max GVW truck there Joesjunk. Nicely optioned for a 1 ton I'd say. Nice to have the short wheel base too...eh.

Yep, It is a 14,000 GVW truck. I use it to haul the scrap metal from the trucks I part out away. Everything here is usually rusty so most of the sheet metal is junk.
