Dually fenders

What mods are required to mount the 88 and newer dually fenders to a 67-72 box? I had a friend several years ago, who built a 1 ton 4x4 dually. He narrowed step-side fenders and welded tabs to them to bolt them to the box sides. I havn't seen him for years though(I moved).

well, to make it look right, you'd need to redo the opening from square to round.
Other than that, I'd bet that just drilling a few holes for the bolts, and cutting away part of your bed side sheet metal for tire clearance if need be.

If you don't do what Longhornman said the truck would just look out of wack and dumb IMO (unless you match both fenderwells), here's a pic of what you're describing, see the difference between the rear and front fenderwell

And that bed looks retarded, nothing lines up. Just the flairs, with the wheel opening done uo, and get rid of that indentation 1/3 the way up, and it just might look awsome.
