Just Came From the Body Shop
The body shop just quoted me a price on replacing the passenger side inner and outer rocker, installing door hinges and replacing the front and rear passenger side cab supports. They are going to paint the rocker to match, seal the floor, undercoat the new pieces and buff out the passenger side of the truck. The price was $600. Is this a good price? I saw other body and paint work they had done and it all looked really good. I already have the parts. Just wanted some opinions before I had it done. He said he could do the work in 5-7 days.

Yeah, that's a good price if it is quality work.

I'm amazed anyone would consider all that work for that price. I guess if they know what they're doing tho.

It's American Pride Collision in Collinsville. He has just opened this business, but he has done body work for over 20 years. He said they are specializing in restorations. He had 4 vehicles in the shop. One was in primer, one had the bodywork done with no primer and one was finished and ready for pickup. All of the body work was real good. On the finished car it looked as good as a Ford dealer shop where I had work done before. He also said that he had bought the building, so they are going to be there awhile. I'll let you know how mine turns out and send pictures. I'm going to have it done the first week of November. Also he did not start at $600, I talked him down from almost $1000. I told him that I was going to have the entire truck restored and if I liked his work I would come back for other paint and body work.
