Brakes

Has anyone used a 1988 master cylinder and booster on a 67-72 chevy truck also the steering box will it bolt up?

i am pretty sure it is only 69-87 p/s boxes that work. for a 2wd if thats what you are talking about. just look at the difference. does it still bolt on the outside of the frame. 4 bolt holes. the rag joint the same? as far as the master and booster, i cant help there

88 and newer steering boxes bolt inside the frame, rather than outside like 87 and older trucks do.

The 67/early 68 frame needs light mods to use a later box. There is a dimple that needs placed on the frame rail.
The gear box from 73 - about 80 will work fine. The later ones will work, but the hose connections are o-ring style, and metric.
The master cylinder, i wouldn't touch it myself if you have a 67 - 70...(drum/drum verses disc/drum) And honestly, onless I had swapped the whole 73 - 87 brake system to the older truck, I still wouldn't do it.
