WTB: Pertronix for 6 cylinder

Does anybody have one sitting on the shelf that they decided not to use? I am close to dropping the 250 I-6 in my 67 C10 and I figured I'd try here before going retail. Thanks

I just installed this HEI with the external coil (77 Nova style). Are you looking to use the OE distibuter because of A/C clearance issues? If not this type of setup works great!

I have a new never used Pertronix Ignitor #1162A and a black Flame Thrower 40k coil. How about $70 including shipping. If there is a problem you can send it back. Did I buy a set of West Coast Jr. mirrors from you last year?

There were 2 styles. Your's works too, it's just too tall if you have the stock A/C compressor.

Erl, that is exactly what I am looking for. I'll take it. PM me on how you would like payment and your address.

Super Duck, I have never seen an internal mounted coil in the HEI-6's. I would actually prefer that over the external coils since it would clean up that side of the engine.

As it is I am going to keep this truck as stock looking as I can. It is a 67 C10 with 34,000 miles on the body. The original engine was replaced by a 250 with integral head probably due to it sitting around too much of the time.

I'll post pictures of the 6 all painted and pretty on the engine stand. I have to agree with CPNE about how fun it is to work on these 6's. I went Chevy orange on the block and head and hammer tone black on the oil pan and all accessories with a vintage Offenhauser finned valve cover to top it off.

Sent you a PM. Here is the HEI that I installed in my GMC 305 V6. It was out of a 78 Buick 3.8L V6. Took a little machine work, but not too bad. It really makes the engine run smoooth.

easy

Just installed the ignitor system in my 250. Very pleased with it. Set the gap of the plugs at .045 and it will run like new.
