custom camper compass

I have a 1970 Custom Camper. In the glove box there is a sticker with instructions on how to adjust a compass. There's no compass there. I was wondering if anybody knows if these trucks came a compass. I was thinking maybe it was part of the Custom Camper package. Or I could be wrong and maybe someone just stuck the directions for some other compass there.

Not part of the camper package...that was just springs, shocks, tires, a sway bar in front, and badges.
If it is not listed on the option sheet, it is not factory original...it was however, a somewhat common dealer add on though.

I have seen a couple of these trucks with the sticker still stuck on the glove box liner... The ones I have seen were on air trucks and so the sticker was on the portion that goes around the upper distribution hoses. I bought a GM compass from the dealer for my truck but never put it in.... It makes me feel lost all the time. My compass is plastic but saw an orginal a Charlotte couple of years ago that was metal.

Thanks for the info guys. I had that question in the back of my head since I bought the truck (about a year) and it just today occured to me to ask here. It's nice to know those little details.
