that is freakin great.
worst I got is the p/o removed my stock radio and put in some POS AM/FM/8 track unit that was too small for the hole and wasnt fastened down so it rattled like crazy. It was too big to allow room for the stock speaker, so they took it out and put it in the corner of the cab on the passenger side. 1 of the screws goes all the way thru the back of the cab. They also left about 20 lbs of miscellaneous wood scraps under the hood in the space where the aux batt. would go, including a full size table leg complete with rusty nails.

no block heaters in CA.

if it was a block heater it would have the male end not the female... im pretty sure dubie had that on his chevy back when it was blue

Its not for a block heater. PO told me he would run a 75 watt light bullb when camping off of it.

I was kidding about it being for a block heater...although you could rig up an extention cord....
You can get 12 volt light bulbs that screw into a normal household lamp socket. I'm guessing you could use a normal drop light with the 12 volt bulb and do it that way.

Provided you need one,and all the installation looks pretty good.He could have just welded a metal box on there and put the plug in it.

Its ran directly off of the battery..well if was linked to the junction. I did find that a VERY melted down power wire that ran from the junction to the regulator. The PO was a great guy. Loved this truck and shared a bunch of old stories about it.

My K5 has a steel grab bar that bolts through the dash on either side of the glovebox!2 pieces of steel tubing with a LOVELY weld right in the middle of it.I did the 12V box years ago when I was dirt track racing, used an old 100 ft extension cord mated to a high beam plug and a high beam bulb-sounds funny, but everyone at the track used it.

the rv industly uses standard lightbulb sockets in some of ther 12volt applications. namely there smaller campers without generators. the bulbs are easy to find just go to your local rv shop and ask.
