converting from idiot lights to guages
I'm sure this has been covered a million times (1000001 now), but I couldn't find any info on it. I have a factory gauge cluster and would like to swap out the idiot light cluster. Where do I go to find out how? I didn't see anything under FAQ's.

It is true. The connector will hook right up.....don't do it as the two units are completely wired different. Check that site and follow it closely. Take your time and check it twice. Failure to do it correctly will let the smoke out of you new gauge set.

i did it in the 69 i had, but i put a camaro tach in at the same time. it was a little tricky to get the stock printed circuit to work with the tach, but it did...
and guages are WAAY better than the idiot lights, best thing i ever did to that truck. |

Maybe I'm missing something but does someone have a pic comparing these dashes? What does an idiot light even look like?? I've only seen gauges

picture your dash without the 4 smaller bottom holes. and where the tach goes there is blinkers, generator light, and water temp lights. on the gas gauge side there is brakes, and something else, oil maybe.
