Question 1969 Chevy PU

We are looking to convert our 1969 Pickup that has manual steering to powered. Any reasons why not to? IF NOT, any suggestion on where to find the parts needed?

We are also looking for a tailgate, rear red tail light (pass. side) and hub cabs.

I can only think of reasons to do it. Makes driving more enjoyable and easier. I've got 31" x 11 " meats up front and no problems with control. I use no stabilizer and don't need one. I don't have any parts for you. I need a tailgate too, but can cut off bottom and spotweld sheetmetal on.
