AM/FM Radio Options

I don't care about originality, but I won't cut the dash. I just want an AM/FM radio with NO cassette or CD. The Custom Autosound units are nice but even the plainest model has a cassette.

Are there any simple options available for our trucks--aftermarket or factory (from a different application)?

Does anybody have an older aftermarket unit with no cassette that they'd sell?

Custom Autosound has one. Model USA-6 no cassette but is wired for a CD changer. I've been thinking about one also.

Are any of the CD-related features vissible when installed (this would be a negative for me)?

Custom Autosound sucks. Two shaft radios are still being made. Summit Racing catalog has a Jensen unit for $70 although it has a cassette in it. You might check Crutchfield.

687980chevy, do the CD related buttons serve any other purpose (anything related to the radio)? If a person didn't have a CD player would they just be non-functioning buttons?

As far as I know if you do not have a CD changer they are dead. I have had other radios with this feature.
