3spd to 4spd Swap

Would i have to change anything out or would it be a direct bolt in?

Also what would be involved in chaging from a 3 spd to a 6 spd? Any of you done this?

Im considering buying a 68 with a 3spd thats been moved from the column to the floor and if i get it i want it changed to either a 4 or 5 spd or preferibly a 6 spd...it has a mildly built 350 so a 6 spd should make it ride great...

Any help would be appreciated

depends on what kind of 4 gear you're swapping out.

I bolted a Muncie M22(car-type)in my lil`Fleetside,no problem.Too go to an OD trans, you`ll probably need to do some mods.By the time cars were getting 5spds,the 3-on-the-tree was history. So,no direct swap.
