how much does an 85 K30 weigh?

hello, I am wondering how much my 85 K30 weighs, if I can tow it safely with a towbar about 150 miles with my 98 K2500 suburban 454. The K30 has no motor, and lots of rust, so it will weigh a bit less than normal. Should I remove the driveshafts for this? Thanks very much for your help.

My guess would be around 5300 pounds max. I would remove the driveshafts because with no motor the transmission and transfer case will move around and may bind the u-joints. Be sure that the trans/t-case/torque converter doesn't fall out as you drive it

i'd say closer to the neighborhood of 4500, when all is said and done my 86 will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 6000# fully trail ready, with 39.5" tires, steel beadlock wheels, heavy duty bumpers at both ends and a cage.

I was guessing 5300 max because my small block K20 weighs 5500 (38.5's and steel wheels), he has no motor but does have a D60 front to help offset the weight loss from the missing motor. His weight is probably less than my 5300 max guess, but I wouldn't go as low as 4500 - that would be a heavy engine.
