Newbie saying hello

Hi all
I bought a 70 C10 a few months back. It's supposed to be a really nice driver when I'm done. The kid I bought it from, didn't know anything about the truck because he bought it off another guy that did all the work. I just installed a Bowtie Overdrives level 3 700r4. It made alot of difference when cruising down the highway to and from work. I know the original owner put alot of work into it with the roll pans and shaving emblems and such. I feel kinda bad, changing back to the bumpers and adding the mirrors again. It was a very clean look but not really what I wanted.

I hope the photo shows up
Anyway I will have a ton of questions I'm sure. This looks like a very active board, which is great. Take Care
Neal

The truck has Roddoor panels and a 60/40 Leather Power Seatsout of a late model something. (Any Ideas??) I'm taking out the seats and going to cover a bench seat in a nice leather and also going to recover the door panels in a tweed. The black carpet is coming out too and gonna go with a tan/saddle . I ordered some bed floor halves from Tabco. It also has a 400 small block. Haven't decided on what to do with that though. I'm thinking aluminum heads and maybe roller cam. Take care
Neal

Very nice truck. Can I ask why you don't like the seats? Need more room? How is the sitting position for you with those seats? Do you have enough legroom? What color are they? They are from 95-98 truck? I ask because I am looking for new seat ideas and thought yours looked Ok in there. Thanks.

The seats are fine! The powered movement works and the color is nice. I just think I want a more original style seat. The leg room is fine for me. I'm 6'2". I think the leg room will get even better when I rip the gas tank out soon. Again alot of stuff the previous owner did, was nice but not exactly what we would have done. It's a great truck. I think that I will learn alot at my own pace, because atleast it's driveable and already looks nice.

Neal, That is a great looking truck. Welcome from Moss covered Oregon. If you don't like those seats there's a few of us on this board that would be happy to take them off your hands.

I'm from Clarksville, Tn. I bought the truck from a guy in Fayetteville, Tn. If by some chance the original owner/restorer is on here I would love to know a little more about the truck. Tonight I replaced the bushings in the drivers side door hinge. Not hard but then I had to pull the hood, and then the fender in order adjust the hinge so it would close properly. Man that was alot of work and kinda fun at the same time. The passenger side just needs an adjustment and no bushing. So tomorrow, off comes that fender as well. I probably should have just bought all new hinges. Oh well, Take care guys, and thanks for taking an interest and also making me feel welcome. As for the seats, I will probably let them go cheap, but only after I'm completely satisfied with the new covered bench.
