Hey Maryland Members...

When I lived in Belcamp (Harford county for you "outsiders") I used to go to the "Big M" in Churchville for a local cruise. Is it still there?
I sure miss the mid-atlantic. The best 18 months of my life was spent there with youse guys.

I took a job in Baltimore down off I-95 and Eastern ave.. I relocated from so. Cal. in hopes of staying but because my father was diagnosed with cancer 6 months after I moved I ended up staying another 12 months and I came back home. I did have a great time. When I first got there in Nov. '97 I stayed in an apt. across from the White Marsh Mall. I then moved up to Belcamp right off of Riverside Pkwy. around the bend from the Cracker Barrel in some brand new condos they just had built at the time. I did'nt want to live in the city. The people are so much nicer there in MD.. The women are much more eager to hold a conversation with you. I spent alot of time at the inner harbor and I met alot!. I bought a boat and had it in Otter Point in Abingdon. Drove all over the area. Spent weekends either in D.C. or Havre de Grace. Toured the museums in Aberdeen...ordnance and Cal Ripkens too! Even had the priveledge of going out to Cal's home for a visit (my buddy worked for a cabinet contractor that was remodeling his kitchen) and I met Cal sr. before he passed away. Ironically, I ran into Cal sr. coming out of the Wal-mart up in Aberdeen on rte. 40. (Pulasky hwy ?) Know where it is? Small world. I went to Carlisle in July for the all Chrysler show. I even rode my V-max up to Bar Harbor Maine in the early summer. I had a great time and I hated to leave but family came first and I had to be there for my 80 yr. old mom. I visited all of the sites, malls, restaurants, etc. there and got really familiar with all of that area. One of the first excursions I took into the city from my home using an alternate route (just venturing out) I took rte. 1 into Baltimore...can you say "Harford & North"? I learned real fast where the ghetto was!! Glad I still had my wheels. I was dating a gal who lived there in Bel Air in the apts. around from the city hall. anyway. I'm rambling.
had a great time but the next time I move I am going to Texas. In fact, I am closing a deal on a house there in Uvalde county this week. My wifew is from there and we love the scenery and the people.not to mention the laid-back lifestyle and the freindly-as-hell people. Soon I will be a citizen of the "Lone Star" state!

I live like 2 minutes from Whitemarsh Mall. I've also met all the Ripkens. I hear ya about Baltimore City, I grew up in the city and it sucks. I worked right off North Ave for 12 years and I sure as hell don't miss going thru the ghetto before and after work everyday. Every corner I had somebody knocking on my window begging for money or trying to sell me a bean pie!. Small world for sure.

Grew up in catonsville not far from the city moved out to westminster (country). I used to have to go down north ave. to pick up parts, starting at hilton parkway after going down edmondson ave. I don't miss that.

I thought 4 wheelers and dirt bikes were for the country, they use them in the city (mostly runnin drugs) right down the middle of the street. And in the city you can't have a high speed chase.
