SWB Frame for LWB - SORRY!

I know this has probably been beat to death by now, but I've gone through about 22 pages of this board and done several searches and couldn't find the information I was looking for. I'm fairly new to this board so may not be looking in the right place, so I apologize in advance if I should have found this myself...!

Anyway, I have a 69 C-10 LWB with a wood bed and found what I believe is a 71 SWB frame (with one door, one fender, and a small window cab still attached) and had some questions about swapping frames. Is it as simple as swapping frames and bedsides, using the parts I have on my truck (bed crossmembers, etc.) and ordering a SWB wood bed rather than a LWB bed (and saving some $$$) or am I fooling myself...?

Thanks!

Yes, it should be a direct swap, But you said the SWB had a small back glass? Then someone has put a 67' cab on it or it is a 67' SWB. Does it have disk front brakes? They were standard in 71'. But everything will line up to the mounts on the frame with no problems. I hope that this helps!!

The bed will not bolt up. It is too long between the headboard and wheelwell and between the wheelwell and tailgate.

Thanks guys -

I should have said swapping frames and SWB bedsides that I have yet to buy - either Goodmark or some good used ones at less than astronomical prices... I wasn't planning on trying to use my LWB bedsides(!).

Anyway, it may very well be a 67 with a 71 front clip on it - it had 6-lugs and drums all around if I remember correctly... springs in the back if that makes a difference...

Anything I should check out particularly carefully on the frame...?

Look for cracks around steering box check out the braces that's pretty much it. Yep if it has drums then I would say somebody put a 71' clip on it, The rear springs if they were coils then it's probably a Chevy frame, If they were Leafs then it's probably a GMC frame, But it doesn't matter either way!!
