Sounds like all will work out well, but just out of curiousity, why was YOUR insurance involved? If that loader belonged to a licenced construction company, they must carry liability for this kind of thing. At least they do in the U.S.

I don't know how insurance works, but in Manitoba, we have a government run insurance system as opposed to private insurance.

I have two years to get the damage fixed. I am going to wait till the spring and fix the rest of the body, and have the whole truck painted. I will obviously have to cover the cost for the remainder of the pain, but it should be minimal.

Wow!... I'm glad you got a good deal and your truck is getting fixed! I would have thought that $3300 would have been enough to write one of these trucks off... I guess they must have revised something in their books... Awesome!

Which reminds me, I have to call Autopac tomorrow and see about my car's rear bumper that got tattooed with someone front licence plate. I love that we have skating rinks for roads here.
