Anybody want to trade some work for parts?

I really need to swap out the front end of my truck for a newer power disk setup. This seems like a logical thing to do instead of putting a bunch of money into fixing the original setup. I have two badly worn drums up front which cost about 100 bucks each new. Can't find used. I also have a bad spindle and hub from a bearing that committed suicide and decided to take out some other parts with it. It just makes sense to me to try to upgrade to power disk.

It's a 69 3/4 ton small block truck. 8 lugs. The problem is, I just cannot scrape up any money to put into it. So, I was thinking, if someone in the Spokane WA area has a later 3/4 ton parts truck laying around with good rotors and stuff, maybe I can do some work for you in exchange for the front end out of it. I'm about ready to go to a busy intersection with a sign "Will work for truck parts!"

I will be updating a 67 3/4 ton to 1/2 ton in the future, hopefully soon. I do not know what the drums look like. I am kinda far from you too.

Well, I hadn't thought about finding some used drums. The only problem is, I would still need to replace the spindle and hub on one side. I'd rather put my efforts into converting it.

I'll give you the complete setup from dust cap to brake lines (both sides) if you can transport a 14 Bolt axle for me from Spokane here to my place. E-mail me if interested. Americanrider@yahoo.com

This sounds like a good deal. I'll have to see about getting another truck besides my own for the long freeway drive. My dad has a little *ord *anger that would get much better gas mileage. Lemme check into it and I'll get back to ya.

Update...

I got a hold of the local guy with the 73 Burb. He still has it and I think all I have to do is strip it down and haul off the carcass for him and I get the front end and m/c, booster for free. YIPPY!!
