Can anyone tell if this is a SWB or LWB?
The seller says she knows that it's a 6cyl with manual trans that runs and drives and that's all she knows. She said anything else you want to know about it - "Well you'll just have to come see fer ya self, I just want it outta my yard". She's asking $500 and it's just up the road from me so I'm gonna go check it out after I get off work. I'm just curious if it's a LWB or SWB?

It's a Short Bed. Both frames for Short Fleet-side and Short Step-side are the same. No difference other than style of Bed.
A Long wide bed would be........longer.

Meathead is right,However just looking at the sideview mirrors would lead to the believe that its a longbed, but the mere fact its down the road from you and she says that she wants it gone makes me think it could be had for less than her asking price, and even at 500 if the sheetmetal is as good as the pictures, i would jump on it.

It's too hard to say with that pic. I keep going back and forth. Either way, for that kind of money, it should be worth it.

I'll get to see this afternoon, I'm definitely gonna offer less, it's worth a try. I'm hoping the bed is around there somewhere too...

I think it'll pretty easy to tell once i get there, I was curious if anyone could tell by the photo. If it's a LWB it should have a two piece driveshaft and if it's a SWB it should be just a single shaft, right?

I`m pretty sure the shorbeds had a 2 piece also. my 75 swb did. just measure the wheelbase. it should be 115" for a shortbed if I remember right.

i just talk to the owner, he said about the only thing worth while is the engine and front clip, he said the cab is so Just it's unreal. He said it's a SWB and he bought it to use the box on a '48 chevy truck. I can even have the bed fenders if i want 'em. Guess it's worth looking at - though I'm not as stoked as I was.

If the glove box sticker is still on it. It will have the wheelbase 127" for long bed or 115" for short bed. B.B.

I finally got to talk to the 'ol boy that owned it. I ask what kinda condition it was in and he said there wasn't five square inches that didn't have a rust hole in it. A couple other board members had pm'ed about it and I gave them the guys info. I don't remember who they were or if they bought it but I know he sold it.
