I didn't plan on doing too much, but I did get a little more done than expected.
I went in friday night to work on the 'ole girl, only to find out that the brand new fuel pressure \regulator that I had installed wed was stopped up. Clogged, broken...I don't know. All I know is Jegs is getting it back tomorow.
If you've ever towed a vehicle with a chain...but only had one driver, you know what I went through. Throw in an under powered Lincoln doing the dragging, and a gravle parking lot with lots of ice, and you can imagine the fun I had.

I washed the truck...and the Lincoln...just for sh!ts and giggles mostly, however, i must say it has been a loooooong time since I've seen the gold paint without the mold all over it.
Took a few items off, scuffed down all the mismatched panels, and got them all in a coat of cheap spray bomb gray primer. Reinstalled the eyebrow trim and then painted/installed the drivers side door mirror...painted white of course.
Messed with the carb a bit, removed the fuel pressure regulator, put 10 gallons of fuel in it...and called it a day.

Well, I may not have actually done anything to the Truck this weekend....but I did make some money which will go into the Truck some weekend...

Front end looks good LHM, the only thing I got done this weekend was putting my "future stereo" dream list togeather & surfed the net trying to learn more about car audio (until my eyes couldn't take it any more) (lol). Did manage to get all the parts for my headlight relay install though, regards Doug

The GMC got a tune-up. The Chevy got exhaust donuts. Did make some room in my garage, so time to get back on the long step.

Tail lights rewired, all new bulbs, oil, coolant change, plugs, wires, distributor, and a new cd player. But I missed the mark cause I didnt get the front end totally rewired. And no speakers yet.

I finally got the rear trim installed, blasted and reshot the hubcaps and then finished detailing the engine. It was a good weekend. I got everything done that I had planned

well, we put in a new fuel gauge and sending unit, the sending unit was a little busted from the guys at UPS but we put it back together, it didn't work though

got it all done .. it was a short list . 1. mount spare under bed 2. redrill upper front shock mounting hole( no more *clank* everytime i hit a dump on the driver side) this is good .... and 3. wash truck

new fuel pump, ran all fuel lines for blazer tank, made new filler neck, started shaving stake pockets, but the good thing is except for boxing it in blazer tank/sidemarker fill is done

Well I didn't get any work done on the truck at all. However, went with my son and bought a 68 Cutlass S. 62k miles (his first car). Been sitting for over 20 years as the top pick will attest. Power washer did a real nice job on her as you can see in pick 2. Now that we've cleaned her up the real work begins

Well the motor work is done and thanks to alot people on this board it runs pretty darn good! Thanks again to all who helped!!! Now if I could get the seats I am trying to get from a guy who got booted from the board I could get started on the interior and maybe be ready for spring and start driving this sucker again!!

How did the carpet and headliner hold up in the humidity?

Trust me. The paint is not nearly as good as pic 2 suggests. Car was wet and the flash made it look better than it is. Car has some rust in the fenders and dash but not a door ding anywhere. Overall, my son made one heck of a find. Not certain of which of us is more excited about it.

I did absolutely nothing to the truck and it was all I thought it would be. I celebrated my 40th B-day in Vegas this weekend with friends and had a great time!!!

Longhorn, The carpet is faded but OK. The headliner is excellent. Only real problem in the interior is the vinyl in the drivers bucket shrunk and has pulled away at the seams and the shelf in the rear window is shot. Other than that the interior is excellent. The car did have a roof over it and a wall on one side. It belonged to his girlfriends grandmother. She parked it over 20 years ago because her parents couldn't drive anymore and couldn't get in and out of a 2 door.

Got my automatic column rebuilt....AGAIN....this time I'm hoping it stays fixed. As a bonus I ran my new 8.5 mm MSD plug wires. Next on the list is reseal of the rear-end differential, and start planning on putting my headers in.

i guess you could say i missed the mark

This weekend i wanted to try to get the I-6 running again to get it to move to where i want it so i can tare it down. The po riped the motor apart, (took of fthe manafolds, plated that cover the lifters and other things here and there. So i go about putting that together so i get the manafolds on (keep in mind it was already torn apart not by me and i dont have and straight 6 experience) anyways got everything bolted up go to poor the oil in and it all pisses out the plates, i didnt have the gaskits in

ok fix every thing filled the coolent. Igo to start it, it cranks over but does not fire and i think i narowed down to no spark and i think im not geting any power to the coil (i think) so guess what im doing next weekend

I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed.
