My wife smells gas...
My truck tends to emit quite a bit of gas fumes while being driven and afterward. You should see the look I got when I wanted to park it in the garage after I washed it today.
Is it fairly typical to smell so much gas, or is there something I need to look at?

Check the fuel sending unit for leaks, then check all the rubber lines, also the fuel caps tend to leak when turning hard rights.......carb float could be stuck too....

It is an in the cab tank, but most of the smell comes from under the hood. I will check all of the above. Thanks. Any other thoughts are welcome.

check the carb linkage that goes into the carb, some will leak out there when worn

My rubber fuel line failed (under the cab) and slowly lost almost a full tank of hightest when it was parked for a few weeks. I replaced the line and installed new clamps also, the old line was in really bad shape.

Fuel pump could be pumping gas out the vent holes (bursted dia. in pump).
