How do you jack up the truck?
I have a floor jack, can I put it undert he pumpkin and jack it up from there, or will that damage it?

pumpkin will work in rear.....front i usually put the pad of the jack in the a arm right in the spring pocket...it wont slide out of there......

I have a coil spring truck and I always jack under the coil spring pockets in the front and under the springs on the trailing arm in the back. I don't like jacking up on the pumpkin 'cause I don't think it's real stable. I have done it before...never done any damage.

dont jack under the radiator....that's the rad support...lol...the ONLY things i jack on are the spring pockets and the main crossmember under the motor....as far as the pumpkin being unstable....if you are using jackstands like you should (which i learned the hard way) it doesnt matter....

you jack on the real thin vertical one? i would think it could slip there pretty easy..

I jack up my 3/4 ton in two places:
1. The differential (and my jack stands go in between the HUGE U-bolt nuts on the trailing arms). 2. The front cross member (my jack stands here go under the frame rails behind the front tires. I don't try to do anthing else - mostly because the center of mass for the truck is literally the engine/transmission, so any farther forward puts a lot of strain on the frame in that spot, or any farther back, and the truck will start to get light in the end, and could possibly be unstable in the front.
