small block chevy id
Hi, I bought a small block chevy out of my brothers truck. He bought it for parts so he doesn't know what the engine is other than small block chevy. I have the numbers off the front of the engine. They are VO9O4FMF and OFF1O6O5O. I'm not sure if the O's are the letter O or the number 0. I tryed some engine id websites but with no luck. Any help would be great. Thanks

V= Assembled Flint Mi.
09= Assembled Month of Sept 04= Assembled 4th Day of month FMF= 1985 1/2 ton-1ton truck 350ci truck motor, backed originally with a manual transmission with 1- 4bbl carb, RPO code for the motor is LS9 If these #'s "" OFF1O6O5O "" were stamped on the same pad this motor has been rebuilt previously by a company and these are that companies identifying #'s for them to keep track of for warranty purposes.
