Show us your Wood Floor
I'm looking for a 8' bed with a wood floor and wood like to see any finished beds with wood floors, for some ideas of types of woods and finishes.

Not a long bed but this is oak with some kind of stuff they use on exterior wood doors.

Gee_Emm: What kind of stain is used for that factory finish? I am thinking of redoing my daily driver and would feed back scratching a natual wood finish.

Farside, if I read your post correctly, natural finish(no stain) would be the best if a scratch needed to be repaired. It would be a quick repair. One suggestion though is to make sure you seal all bolt holes and all sides of the board. If you dont, after time they will turn a greyish black from moisture.

Here is mine it's white maple with a marine varnish 7 coats and 24 hous wait time between coats Oh... the boards must be snaded between coats. Polished stainless strips and I polished all the bolt's in the drill myself. The inner fenders arethere for a test fit they are stilll in primer.

mar-k are doing a bed wood stain test.. interesting results on longevity etc, still ongoing but you can check out the latest update on the technical section of their website... there were differing stains including black used there..

They look good. Are the wood beds kits? If so who did you buy them from.I need to to do my 72. Would like it to look as nice as those.
