Finally some pictures to share
1972 Chevy K20, tach, tilt, ac. Body from '72 C20 camper special, frame from '72 (she's a mutt).
Washed her up and snapped some pics. Overcast day, so the surface rust on the green parts doesn't show in the pics. Figured out the blow fuses issue -- wire grounded to frame. Runs great and should pass inspection this week.

The red valve at the door sill - Is that the dump valve for the piss bottle for those looong highway trips?
Nice truck.

That is my parking brake. When PO swapped in frame and running gear from the K20 he didn't have all parts to make the cable parking brake work. So he had this line lock valve installed.
You flip the lever and pump the brakes. Locks the rear brakes. Works for about a minute, then the truck starts to roll. I'm debating if I should get this fixed/rebuilt or go back to cable brake. Notice the 2x4 in the bed photo...that's my real parking brake The long range plan for this truck is to drive it this spring and summer while I learn / practice my welding skills. Hope to have cab repaired by time snow flies. Still contemplating frame-off or frame-up. I'm a picky bastard, meaning I'll probably do frame-off.

Nice truck lots of potential. Is the bed wood textured or something it looks like it has some kind of pattern on it?

No texture. What you are seeing is from the bed mat the PO used over the wood. The little black nubs rubbed off on the wood. Caused a little warping of the wood up near cab where moisture was trapped. I'm going to leave the mat out for a while and see how it goes. Will probably replace wood some time in future.

On My Old 1966 I Used To Pull My Boat With, Some Of The Boat Ramps In Tenn Was So Bad And Steep. I Used A Piece Of 4x4 And Some Rope To Put Under My Wheels(both Sides) And When I Pulled Out, The Rope Pulled The 4x4 Up The Hill, Until I Could Get On Some Flat Ground. Steve

My kiddos (6 & 4) love SpongeBob. There is a tiny patrick star sticker on the dash. They think that's cool.
Yep, Missouri does vehicle inspections. When I lived in St.L they did tailpipe test (scary). This truck should pass. Tires are 265's on 16" rims. I don't think it's lifted. Springs look stock to me. I'm thinking of 285's or the tall 235's

That is my absolutely Ideal truck. A 4X4 with 4 spd, air and tach and a 3/4 ton. I'd trade mine in a heartbeat for that!
